These are some of the tricks I am currently using to help me lose weight :) I hope they help.
Pre-cut the fruit you have in your fridge and separate into tupperware containers. I keep some smaller ones to add to yogurt for breakfast and larger ones to add honey to and take for a lunch at work. I find having it ready to go makes it easier to make good choices.
Prepare small snack bags with reasonable calorie amount in them. A great way to eat something that you may consider bad but still control your intake (this one takes some will power)
Drink a bloat reducing drink. 1.5 L water, 1 dandelion root tea bag, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp no sugar added cranberry juice. Drink this for 7 days and you can lose a good 5 lbs of water retention.
Focus on smaller goals. I first aim for losing the next pound. Then I focus on the next 10lbs interval. At each interval I get a reward (clothing item or beauty product usually).
Take measurements of your body as well as using the scale. Sometimes my weight stalls. When it does this I update my measurements to see that my body is still shrinking even if the number on the scale doesn’t. This way I don’t lose my motivation.
Maintain good posture. Applies to working out and just walking around in everyday life. Helps burn more calories. Ensures you are doing your exercises properly as well.
Eat snow peas, snap peas or green beans when you want a snack. They are crunchy, delicious and low in calories.
Keep your healthy food more visible than your non-healthy food. If your healthy food is the first thing you see when you look in the fridge you will be more likely to grab that to eat. This is why I keep my produce on the top two shelves of my fridge instead of in the crisper drawers.
